The company has more than a dozen manufacturing facilities in the Northwest and Southeast. Heirs of philanthropist Kenneth Ford, who established the Ford Family Foundation, own and lead the company.

Rougier has been stacking up wood-product holdings in Europe and Central Africa for more than 70 years. It subsidiaries in Cameroon, Republic of Congo, and Gabon cut and process tropical timber into logs, sawn timber and plywood, which is shipped worldwide. Two subsidiaries in France, Rougier Sylvaco and Rougier Panneaux, import tropical timber and plywood, respectively. Europe accounts for more than half the company's revenue and Asia covers about a third. The company sells African species, including Kosipo, Kotibe, Longhi, Niove, Ozigo, Pao Rosa exclusively.

Sheoga Hardwood Flooring and Paneling makes prefinished and unfinished flooring and paneling from hardwoods, including ash, beech, hard maple, walnut, hickory, and red and white oak harvested from the Appalachian region of the US. The company also offers dense Brazilian cherry prefinished hardwood flooring and wood paneling. Sheoga air-dries its lumber for several months and then kiln-dries it before milling it into hardwood products. The company began operations in 1982.
