Veridian Homes wants to paint the town green. As an environmental steward, Veridian Homes builds communities with homes that are both Energy Star- and Green Built Home-certified. Those homes must meet strict standards set by the US Environmental Protection Agency. Veridian offers more than 40 floor plans (with such distinguished names as The Bentley, The Carter, The Everest, and The Oxford) for single-family detached homes as well as condominiums in about 20 neighborhoods in Dane County and Madison, Wisconsin. It has about a dozen projects scattered throughout England, either currently in operation (with rented or sold units) or under development. Building industry expert Bob Weston formed Weston Homes' parent company, Weston Group Plc, in 1987. Its first development was a four-bedroom, detached house in Essex; today its building portfolio features large high-rise developments in London's Docklands region.

Worksharp's portfolio is anything but limited. Worksharp constructs residences from barn conversions and retirement homes to cutting-edge luxury central-city apartments in the UK in Cheshire, Manchester, and in the suburbs of Merseyside.
