As one of China's Big Four banks, China Construction Bank (CCB) has historically concentrated on providing medium- and long-term loans to large domestic corporations in the oil and gas, power, telecommunications, and infrastructure industries. China Minsheng Banking Corporation (CMBC) provides standard corporate and personal banking services as well as a broader range of financial services including international financing, wealth management, settlement, factoring, and bond underwriting. The company has some 350 main branches and outlet locations throughout China, including a representative office in Hong Kong. It has relationships with about 750 foreign banks worldwide. CMBC was founded in 1996 and was China's first commercial bank to be owned by mostly non-government entities.

Chinatrust Financial Holding (CFHC) is one of Taiwan's largest financial services groups. It operates Chinatrust Commercial Bank, which has more than 140 domestic branches and more than 70 overseas. The group provides general banking services including corporate and consumer loans, financial consulting, checking and savings accounts, letters of credit, commercial drafts, collections and payments, and credit cards. It also offers property/casualty insurance, life insurance, investments, and other related financial services. Overseas, the bank operates subsidiaries in the US, Canada, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The predecessor to the family-owned CFHC was founded in 1966.
