RAM Holdings Ltd. was founded in 1998 as a Bermuda-based provider of financial guaranty reinsurance. We conduct substantially all of our operations through our wholly owned subsidiary, RAM Reinsurance Company Ltd. They provide financial guaranty reinsurance for public finance and structured finance obligations, covering risks in both the United States and international markets. They insure policies underwritten by our primary financial guaranty insurance company customers to a remote-loss standard, meaning that risks are insured only if an insurer expects that no loss will occur during the term of the policy.

Regions entered the insurance agency business with the acquisition of Rebsamen Insurance, Inc. a multi location agency based in Little Rock, Arkansas. This was the third time in six years RGA has received this award. RGA Reinsurance Company was named “Best Overall Life Reinsurer” for the third consecutive time by North American life insurers in the 2009 Flaspöhler Cedant Survey (Life – North America).
