With about 175 beds and a staff of 450 doctors, it offers most medical specialties including maternity care, cancer treatment, pain management, cardiology, and home health care. The hospital also has fertilization, outpatient surgery, and urgent care centers, as well as primary and specialty care practices. Martha Jefferson Hospital, which was founded in 1903, has announced plans to join the Sentara Healthcare network.
