Conemaugh Health System serves western Pennsylvania's medical needs. The network includes flagship teaching facility Memorial Medical Center, as well as Meyersdale Medical Center, Miners Medical Center, Crichton Rehabilitation Center, and a network of community and specialized health care facilities. With more than 800 beds in its system, Conemaugh Health offers such services as regional cancer, cardiovascular, and neurosciences centers; home health care and home medical equipment; general care facilities; and specialized facilities for managing pain and wounds that are difficult to heal. Connecticut Children's Medical Center (CCMC) centerpiece is its children's hospital that cares for children from babyhood to adulthood with a variety of services including surgery, behavioral care, and emergency medicine. Conway Medical Center (CMC) is famous in its own right for providing a wide range of health care services to residents of eastern South Carolina. The private, not-for-profit, 210-bed hospital provides services including primary, diagnostic, emergency, surgical, maternal and pediatric, and rehabilitative care. CMC specializes in heart health, hospice care, and occupational health. Additionally, CMC operates the Kingston Nursing Center, an about 90-bed long-term nursing and rehabilitative care facility and the Conway Physicians Group, which is home to about 10 physician practices offering a range of specialties.

A hospital was established in Conway in 1921 when Colonel John E. Little donated a tract of land to the city for a building site. In 1938, the hospital was organized as Conway Memorial Hospital, a non-profit corporation with seven board members. The hospital moved to its present location across the street from the original building in July, 1957, with sixty beds. Today, Conway Regional Health System provides complete health care services to the growing communities of north Central Arkansas including Faulkner, Conway, Perry, Van Buren and Cleburne counties.

Cook Children's Health Care System takes care of children of all ages in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. It encompasses the Cook Children's Medical Center (with rougly 300 beds), Cook Children's Home Health, and Cook Children's Health Plan. In addition, its physician network has offices at dozens of locations in Denton, Hood, and Tarrant counties. Specialties include behavioral health services, bone marrow transplants, craniofacial reconstruction, oncology, and nuclear medicine. Cook's Life After Cancer Program is funded by the Lance Armstrong Foundation and helps people manage and survive cancer.
