CentraState Healthcare System is a central part of the lives of people in central New Jersey -- or at least a central part of saving the lives of central New Jerseyites. Chelsea Community Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital established in 1970. Located in Chelsea, Michigan, CCH is a member of Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. CCH is nationally recognized for both quality of care and patient satisfaction by national ranking organization Press Ganey, and is accredited by the Joint Commission. CCH attracts more than 300 physicians in almost all disciplines, with leading edge technology, including the largest and strongest MRI in Michigan. Employing 1050 full- and part-time staff, CCH reported $96,471,284 in unrestricted revenue in fiscal year 2008. As a not-for-profit hospital, Chelsea Community Hospital reinvests its profits back into the community through programs to serve the poor and uninsured, manage chronic conditions like diabetes, health education and promotion initiatives, and outreach for the elderly. Children's Health Care was founded in 1924. Children's Health Care (better known as Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota) is one of the largest pediatric health organizations in the US, with two full-service hospital campuses in Minneapolis and St. Paul, as well as a number of specialty clinics in the region. With more than 330 beds between its two hospitals, the not-for-profit Children's Health Care specializes in diagnosing, treating, and researching diseases that afflict babies and children, including epilepsy, diabetes, cancers, and cystic fibrosis. It also runs a Teen Age Medical Service, which provides reproductive health care, counseling, and other medical services to adolescents.
