Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) traces its roots to Deaconess Hospital, founded in 1896, and Beth Israel Hospital, established in 1916. Though it's the official hospital for this Major League Baseball team, it's perhaps better known for being a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. BIDMC has about 620 beds and provides general medical and surgical care, as well as outpatient services, at its facilities. From its modest beginning in 1896 as a cottage occupied by seven German Methodist deaconesses ministering to the poor and sick, Bethesda North Hospital has grown into the fourth largest hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bethesda North is a full-service acute care hospital with more than 400 beds. It provides comprehensive medical and surgical care, including maternity and fertility services, emergency care, and diagnostic imaging. The hospital joined with fellow Cincinnati health care provider Good Samaritan Hospital in 1995 to form TriHealth.
