HanWay Films
HanWay Films provides film financing, sales, and distribution, and is closely linked to film development firm Recorded Picture Company (headed by producer Jeremy Thomas, who is also HanWay's chairman). HanWay has relationships with filmmakers such as Woody Allen, Terry Gilliam, Richard Linklater, and Wim Wenders, and distributors around the world. Its library includes titles from the critically acclaimed Merchant Ivory. The company has been involved in such films as director Takeshi Kitano's "Brother," Philip Noyce's Rabbit-Proof Fence, and Linklater's Fast Food Nation. HanWay was founded in 1998 by Thomas, deputy chairman Peter Watson, and COO Stephan Mallman.
