Ealing studio traces its roots back to 1902, had an illustrious film history through its first 50 years; was owned by the BBC and used primarily for TV in the mid-20th century; and is now being renovated and used for major films again. The company operates both as a physical studio and a production company, and has operations in television, stand-up comedy, and family-oriented licensing and merchandising. Recent film productions include An Ideal Husband, Notting Hill, and Star Wars - Episode 2.
