WGBH Educational Foundation
WGBH Educational Foundation owns and operates the WGBH public TV and radio stations that serve the Boston area. Its television operations include several digital channels (WGBH Create, WGBH World) as well as an on-demand service. WGBH is also one of the largest producers of programming for the Public Broadcasting Service, including such shows as Antiques Roadshow, Frontline, and Nova. The foundation gets funding from corporate grants and individual contributions, as well as from PBS and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. WGBH first hit the airwaves in 1951.
