Northern California Public Broadcasting, Inc.
Northern California Public Broadcasting (NCPB) is a publicly financed TV and radio broadcaster serving the San Francisco Bay area through its flagship TV stations KQED (San Francisco) and KTEH (San Jose) and radio outlets KQED and KQEI. Both TV stations offer a mix of educational programming focused on arts, science, and the humanities, as well as public interest shows highlighting local, national, and international issues. NCPB creates much of its own programming but it is also an affiliate of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and National Public Radio (NPR). The not-for-profit corporation was formed in 2006.
