YKK Europe designs, develops, and manufactures a range of fasteners that includes zippers, snap fasteners and buttons, and textile and plastic parts. Its zippers are used in a variety of applications and can be made airtight, flame resistant, lightweight, heavy duty, transparent, or waterproof. The company is the hub of Tokyo-based YKK Corporation's Fastening Products Group's operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. YKK Europe does business from offices and facilities in about 40 countries.
