Bull Moose Tube's growth caught investor notice in 2007 when SPP Capital Group offered $100 million for the company. The deal was later pulled due to market conditions.

Capps Manufacturing makes and assembles aircraft parts, including door assemblies, wings, components, and sheet metal pieces, at its 80,000 sq. ft. plant. Services include machining, roll forming, hydro forming, extrusion and skin stretch forming, component assembly, and heat treating. Castings Ductile Cast Products and Wm Lee operate iron foundries and offer graphite and iron castings, machining, designing, and prototyping services to industrial manufacturers in the automotive, railway, and other industries. Castings counts Toyota among its customers. CNC Speedwell provides machining, surface treatment, assembly, and finishing. The group gets most of its sales from European customers, with the UK accounting for more than a third of the sales. Aberforth Partners controls almost 17% of the company's shares, while Hunter Hall Investment Management owns nearly 11% of Castings.
