Preston North End PLC
Preston North End has seen better playing days on the football pitch. The Preston North End football club is a professional soccer team that plays in the second-tier level of the English Football League, The Championship. The club was formed in 1880 and turned professional in 1885. The team enjoyed success early in its history but has not won the top league in England since 1890, while it last tasted FA Cup success in 1938. The team was relegated to the second division in 1961 and has struggled to regain its former glory and success. Preston North End plays its home games at Deepdale Stadium in Lancanshire.
