The Mushroom Company
The Mushroom Company was founded as the Mushroom Canning Company in 1931 by a group of mushroom farmers. In order to better reflect its range of products and services, it changed its name to The Mushroom Company in 2006. The Maryland company raises, processes, markets, and distributes all manner of the familiar fungi. It makes quick-blanched refrigerated, frozen, and canned mushrooms. It also offers mushroom sauces and bases, mushroom slices, pizza-diced mushrooms, and breaded appetizers, all under the MGA and MGA Gourmet labels. The Mushroom company it provides customized processing and private-label packaging services for other food manufacturers and food retailers.
