Rogers Foods Ltd.
Rogers Foods was founded in 1951 by farmers Alfred and Pauline Rogers, who started the business when neighbors and local food stores began asking them to grind local grains into flour. Real growth for Rogers Foods began under the guidance of Alfred's son Stan. Today, Rogers Foods sells its products in Western Canada and exports to the Pacific Rim; it buys grain in Alberta and British Columbia to produce branded and private-label flour, wheat germ, bran, cereals, and granola. Since 1989, the company has been majority-owned by Nisshin Flour Milling, a subsidiary of Japan's Nisshin Seifun Group.
