L. Carroll Cole started Cole's Quality Foods, Inc. as a bakery in 1943. Cole's is controlled by the family of chairman W. Scott Devon.Cole's Quality Foods is a leading manufacturer of frozen bread products including breadsticks, cheese bread, garlic bread, and Texas toast. It has two manufacturing facilities in Michigan and one in Iowa. The products are marketed under the Cole's brand through grocery, warehouse, and convenience stores nationwide; Cole's also supplies frozen bread to customers in the foodservice industry.
