Air New Zealand Limited makes most of its money by transporting passengers to destinations in the Asia/Pacific region, Europe, and North America; it also serves about two dozen cities in New Zealand. It operates a fleet of about 100 aircraft, including both jets and turbo-props. Air New Zealand extends its offerings by participating in the Star Alliance, a global marketing and code-sharing network that includes carriers such as Lufthansa and United Airlines. (Code-sharing allows airlines to sell tickets on one another's flights.) The New Zealand government owns 76% of Air New Zealand.

Air Pacific flies passengers and cargo from Fiji to nearly 20 cities and a dozen countries. The carrier operates a fleet of Boeing 737, 747, and 767 aircraft. The government of Fiji owns 51% of the airline. Australian airline Qantas Airways owns more than 46%. The remainder is owned by Air New Zealand and the governments of Kiribati, Tonga, Samoa, and Nauru. Air Pacific owns Fiji Airlines Limited (trading as Pacific Sun) and a portion of the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa.

Air Philippines is setting its course to become the low-cost airline of choice for Asia. The carrier, an affiliate of national flag carrier Philippines Airlines, offers scheduled and charter services with about 20 destinations throughout the Philippines, as well as in South Korea and China. The airline is also approved to fly to the US, Singapore, and Japan. Established in 1995, Air Philippines officially took to the skies a year later and now operates a fleet of about 10 Boeing 737s as well as a handful of Bombardier Q300s and Q400s. Philippine tycoon Lucio Tan controls the company and also owns Philippine Airlines.
