Llano Estacado Winery
Located in Lubbock, Texas, Llano Estacado Winery is one of the largest wineries in the state, it has the capacity to produce 120,000 cases of white, red, and dessert wines a year. Founded in 1976, the winery sits on the high plains of west Texas. It owns two vineyards -- Home Estate (three acres) and Mont Sec (100 acres). It also buys grapes from other high-plains growers with which it is associated. VP Greg Bruni, who has been the company's winemaker since 1993, operates an experimental vineyard at Llano Estacado aimed at increasing the quality of the vineyards' grapes. Bruni shares the results of his experiments with the winery's associated growers. Llano Estacado wines have been served at the White House.
