The Synergos Institute
The Synergos Institute is a nonprofit organization that focuses on reducing poverty in the developing world by providing technical assistance to grantmaking groups primarily in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Each year Synergos helps nearly 200 organizations that work directly with community development, tailors giving programs for wealthy families and individuals to channel their funds into poverty-ending work, and trains local leaders to help people work together to solve conflict. Synergos was founded in 1987 by Peggy Dulany, daughter of bank president David Rockefeller and heir to the Rockefeller Standard Oil fortune.
