The Salvation Army USA Western Territory
The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is one of four regional commands carrying out the social services mission of The Salvation Army in the US. The faith-based group seeks to address a wide variety of human needs through programs and facilities such as adult rehabilitation centers, domestic violence shelters, and transitional and permanent housing. The Salvation Army USA Western Territory territory spans 14 western states, including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as the Pacific Islands. The Salvation Army's international headquarters is in London where the group was founded in 1865. It began operating in the US in 1880.
