The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Inc. has pledged more than $600 million for blood cancer research since it was established in 1949. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society also provides education programs and publications for health professionals and support for patients and their families. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Inc. has chapters throughout the US and Canada. Nearly all of the group's revenue comes from contributions made in response to its fund-raising campaigns.
