The Conservation Fund
The Conservation Fund aims to protect and conserve land and water resources in the US through buying property and giving it to local groups to manage. The Conservation Fund also assists landowners in sustainable programs for sensitive lands, and helps other not-for-profit groups promote conservation. Since its founding in 1985, The Conservation Fund and its partners have protected more than 6 million acres of wildlife habitat and watersheds, working landscapes, and community open-space in all 50 US states. The Conservation Fund finances its real estate purchases with grants from foundations and trusts, corporate gifts, and individual donors.
