Kinder Morgan, Inc. also distributes natural gas to more than 1.1 million customers, primarily in the Midwest, and it operates gas-fired power plants along its pipelines. Through Kinder Morgan Management, it controls Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, which transports refined products and operates 170 terminals that handle coal, petroleum coke, and other materials. In 2007 chairman and CEO Richard Kinder, who owns 31% of the company, led a group of investors in taking Kinder Morgan private and adopted the Knight name. To take advantage of its better-known brand, it reverted to Kinder Morgan in 2009.

Korea Gas Corporation is the world's largest importer of liquefied natural gas (LNG), KOGAS single-handedly helps South Koreans stay warm and chill out. Korea Gas Corporation is the sole provider of LNG to the country (24.6 million tons imported annually), operating three terminals and a nationwide pipeline network. KOGAS supplies LNG to power plants and utility companies throughout South Korea, and produces and supplies LNG products to domestic and overseas markets. Most of its imports come from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Oman, and Qatar. It is seeking new sources in Canada. KOGAS development initiatives include natural gas vehicles, LNG chiller/heater systems for homes, and fuel cells. The Korean government owns about 27% of the company.

Largo Vista is in the business of supplying liquid petroleum gas (LPG) through pipelines and in bottles to consumers in the People's Republic of China. Largo Vista Group, Ltd. conducts its operations through strategic partnerships with Chinese companies Zunyi Shilin Xinmao Petrochemical Industries and Jiahong Gas. Largo Vista Group, Ltd. purchases and resells LPG in the retail and wholesale markets to both residential and commercial customers in the city of Zunyi, in Guizhou Province. Largo Vista has closed its unprofitable storage depot operations in that city and is focusing on supplying LPG in bottles and via pipelines. Largo Vista Group, Ltd. is eyeing further expansion in both China and Vietnam.
