Arkansas State University
Arkansas State University (ASU) provides graduate and undergraduate academic programs to approximately 12,000 students. The university has 10 colleges that offer some 170 academic programs; it also has specialty units including the Arkansas Biosciences Institute, Independent Department of Military Science, and Arkansas Heritage SITES. In additional to its flagship campus in Jonesboro, the ASU system offers courses at regional campuses and technical sites and in partnership with community colleges. Founded in 1909, ASU offered its first doctoral degree (in educational leadership) in 1992.
