Henningsen Cold Storage Co.
Henningsen, Sr., the company originally grew into cold storage operations at seven locations throughout the Pacific Northwest under the name Northwestern Ice & Cold Storage Co. Four facilities were located in Portland, two in Washington — Walla Walla and Tacoma (Pacific Refrigerating Company) — and the other in American Falls, Idaho.
Henningsen Cold Storage Co. operates temperature-controlled warehouses and provides related logistics services. Services include cold storage and freezing, import and export services, specialized product handling, loading, and distribution. Although the company got its start in the Pacific Northwest, it has expanded its operations with national outposts. Henningsen Cold Storage maintains facilities in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, in addition to locations across Oklahoma, North Dakota, and Pennsylvania. Overall, Henningsen provides more than 37 million cu. ft. of frozen and refrigerated warehouse space.
