Marble Makrana
Makrana marble is also known as ‘milky white marble’ due to its pure white color with brown and grey colored shades depending on its types. The origin of makrana marble took place from an Indian village named “makrana” in the Nagaur district of state Rajasthan. This white marble is simply referred to as “sangmarmar” in Hindi. Makrana marble is the one of the best quality marble in the world. There isn’t any requirement for chemical reinforcement, the polish remains the same, no pinholes and no change in color is observed with makrana marble, unlike Italian marble. The water seepage is restricted as it contains around 99.9% calcium in its pure form with a little iron content. Makrana marble stays intact for centuries as it is atmosphere friendly and doesn’t change color for a very long period of time. The real makrana marble is never supposed to change its color into off-white or yellow.
