Mesquite Solar Project is Located in the United States, this is the 10th largest solar power plant in the world. It is currently in its second stage of construction.
The Charanka solar Park is one of the few non-US solar power plants in the top-10 list. With an output of 224MW it is the largest existing solar power farm in India.

In accordance with the Kyoto Protocol, this will significantly aid the United States in their struggle to decrease their CO2 emissions.
Agua Caliente Solar Project, This Arizona-based solar power plant has a stated nominal net power of 290MW. Its construction was fully completed in April 2014, and it has since then provided over 600GWh of energy to neighbouring cities and towns.
California Valley Solar Ranch, Listed as a 250MWp solar power plant, the California Valley Solar Ranch is the 5th largest solar power farm in the world. Its construction began in 2011, and as of February 2013 it has been generating 550 gigawatt-hours of energy every year, powering local households and businesses during peak energy consumption hours.
Solar Star Projects I and II, Although this solar power plant is still under construction, it can already has the capacity of 309MWp, giving it the number four spot on the list of the largest solar power plants in the world. Its construction is expected to be finished at the end of this year, at which point it will be able to have the capacity of 579MWp.
Longyanxia Dam Solar Park, The second and final non-US solar power plant in the top-10 list. The Longyanxia Dam Solar Park is located in China, and has a capacity of up to 320MW. Its construction was completed in December of 2013. It is a supplemental part of a hydroelectric power plant which has a capacity of 1400MW of electric energy.
Desert Sunlight Solar Farm, Coming in at #2, another US-based solar power plant. The Desert Sunlight Solar Farm has a nominal power capacity of 550MW. As with the California Valley Solar Ranch, the construction of this power plant rang alarms in the environmental community of the United States.
Topaz Solar Farm, Just as the Desert Sunlight Solar Farm, the Topaz Solar Farm has a nominal power capacity of 550MW, however as of February 2015 it has been showing a more optimal production of energy, thus scoring the #1 slot in our top-10 list.
