The contract to be awarded by Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd (DFCCIL) is for a nearly 128-km stretch between Rewari in Haryana to Dadri in Uttar Pradesh.
According to sources, this is the first composite contract being won by a single bidder in the upcoming dedicated freight corridor, and involves undertaking civil works, laying tracks, stations, signalling and telecom works. The consortium of Tata Projects, IRCON International and Mitsui and Co of Japan is said to be among the other bidders for the contract.

Palanpur, Amli Road near Sabarmati, Makarpura near Vadodara, Gothangam or Kosad will be coming up in Gujarat. From Gujarat, the corridor moves into Maharashtra with Vasai Road and then will terminate at JNPT at Nhava-Sheva near Navi Mumbai.
