TVS Apache RR 310 to have a top speed of over 160 kmph: Bajaj Dominar fails to catch it in this video
The much-awaited TVS Apache RR 310 will be launched in just two days from now. The Hosur-based manufacturer has recently released a couple of teaser videos that made the enthusiasts countrywide even more excited about the bike. Now, to spice up the scene, even more, a video is doing rounds on the internet that gives a hint of the performance of the upcoming TVS flagship. In the footage, one can see a Bajaj Dominar 400 chasing a TVS Apache RR 310 test mule on an open expressway. The Apache rider had maintained a lead right from the beginning but after pushing the bike hard for a few minutes, the Dominar rider manages to get close to the former in order to get a closer look of the motorcycle. In no time, the TVS rider notices this and whacks open the throttle. When the Bajaj Dominar 400 was at its speedo indicated speed of 159 kmph, the TVS Apache RR 310 can be seen pulling away to a distance. This hints that the motorcycle will easily offer a top speed of over 160 kmph and possibly close to the 170 kmph mark too. We at Express Drives are always in favour of safe riding. For this reason, we urge our riders to ride responsibly and wear proper riding gear.
TVS Apache RR 310 is expected to be priced in India at close to Rs 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming TVS Apache RR 310 is based on the Akula 310 concept that was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. TVS Motor Company has kept the market waiting since then and the test mules started appearing last year only, which made the people lay hopes and wait even more. Power to the Apache RR 310 will come from the same 313cc, 34 hp engine that does duties in the BMW G310R.
Prime highlights of the TVS Apache RR 310 include dual projector headlamps, dual disc brakes with an ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), fully digital instrument cluster and a lot more. More details will be revealed on 6th December, the bike's launch date. If you do not want to miss any action, stay tuned as we will be bringing LIVE updates for you straight from the launch event.
