IT firm Wipro sells entire stake in Denim Group for $22.4 million

IT company Wipro on Wednesday said it has sold its entire stake in Denim Group for a consideration of USD 22.42 million (about Rs 160 crore).

In March 2018, Wipro acquired a 33.33 per cent stake in Denim Group Ltd and Denim Group Management, LLC, an independent application security firm, for a consideration of USD 8.83 million, Wipro said in a regulatory filing.

The paediatric trials for the COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by the Bharat Biotech, Covaxin has started at Patna`s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Covaxin received the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) nod to conduct clinical trials in children on May 11.

Dr VK Paul, Member (Health), Niti Aayog had earlier said, Covaxin has been approved by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI), for Phase II/III clinical trials in the age group of 2 to 18 years.

As per the Dutch Government ban on passenger flights from India that had come into force on April 26, 2021, has been lifted w.e.f 01 June 2021, the India embassy here tweeted.

In Q4FY21, the company’s revenue increased 28.6 per cent year on year to Rs 3,429 crore as sales volume jumped 22 per cent YoY to 12.1 mmscmd.

A day after reporting lowest cases since April 8, India witnessed a slight increase in Covid numbers with 1,32,788 new infections reported in 24 hours and 3,207 more people succumbed to the pandemic, the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry said on Wednesday.

On June 1, India reported 1,27,510 cases lowest since April 8. On April 8, India had recorded 1,31,968 cases while on April 7, India witnessed 1,26,789 fresh cases.

Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 22.2 degrees Celsius, five notches below the normal, on Wednesday morning while light rain is likely during the day, the India Meteorological Department said.

The national capital on Tuesday recorded a minimum temperature of 17.6 degrees Celsius. It was 10 degrees below the normal and the lowest ever for the month of June, primarily due to rainfall, thunderstorm and gusty winds under the influence of a western disturbance.
