India records over 15,000 fresh Covid-19 infections, 278 fatalities

India reported 15,102 new Covid-19 cases in a span of 24 hours, which is a marginal rise over the previous day's count of 13,405, the Union health ministry said on Wednesday morning.

In the last 24 hours, a total 278 new Covid related deaths have also been reported, taking the toll to 5,12,622.

The death toll climbed to 5,12,344 with 235 fresh fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated.
