The former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Delhi excise policy scam, will be produced before the Rouse Avenue District Court after the expiry of his custodial remand, sources said.

The source said that Sisodia will be produced by 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Three employees of a city-based pharmaceutical firm Marion Biotech, whose cough syrup is alleged to have led to the death of 18 children in Uzbekistan last year, were arrested on charges of manufacturing and sale of adulterated drugs, officials said.

Meanwhile, Drugs Inspector from Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), North Zone, on Friday issued a notice to Marion Biotech asking it to stop the sale and distribution of the drug concerned, stating that the sample was found to be not of standard quality.

The country's largest airline IndiGo, which is focusing on internationalisation, has received approval from the civil aviation ministry to wet lease up to two planes for operating flights to the United States and Canada, according to a senior official.
