Shares of Suzlon Energy zoomed 5 per cent, to a hit an 8-year high at Rs 23.49 on the BSE in Monday's intra-day trades backed by heavy volumes. The stock is now seen trading at its highest level since August 2015.

As of 09:35 AM; the stock quoted at Rs 23.35, up 4.3 per cent. The counter had seen trades of around 12.56 million shares so far on the BSE as against its 2-week average volume of around 34.52 million shares. In comparison, the S&P BSE Sensex was flat around 64,875 level.

Mining magnate Anil Agarwal's Vedanta Ltd has won an arbitration against a demand for a higher payout from its prolific Rajasthan oil and gas fields after disallowance of Rs 9,545 crore ($1.16 billion) in certain costs incurred, the company said.

India's market regulator has completed its probe into whether billionaire Gautam Adani's conglomerate violated securities laws and action has been recommended in some cases for passing orders, it said in a filing to the country's Supreme Court on Friday.
