Mobility major Ola will pilot Prime Plus, a new premium service that will offer top cars and drivers, and free of cancellations, in Bengaluru, cofounder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal announced on Twitter.

He stated that the new category would be available to a limited number of users.

As the wrestlers’ protest in Delhi takes another turn after the clash of India’s best wrestlers and athletes against the Delhi Police in Jantar Mantar, the issue has now sparked a wave of politics, with many pointing out that the clash took place on the same day as the launch of the new Parliament building.

On May 28, the protesting wrestlers – led by medal-winning wrestlers Bajrang Puniya and Sakshi Malik – clashed with Delhi Police outside of Jantar Mantar, with visuals of many wrestlers being dragged and detained by the authorities during their protest march.

In a two-part ceremony that lasted over five hours, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Parliament building on Sunday, with 21 Opposition parties boycotting the function and the police forcibly detaining women wrestlers as they tried marching to Parliament to demand justice, and evicting them from their protest site at Jantar Mantar.

ICICI Bank, the country's second largest private sector lender, has informed the exchanges that its board has approved raising its stake in ICICI Lombard General Insurance by four per cent in multiple tranches.

At present, the bank owns 48.02 per cent in the general insurance arm.

Kerala's Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Rajasthan's Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot won't be attending the NITI Aayog Council meeting presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Saturday.

CM Gehlot has cited health reasons for not attending the meeting, while CM Vijayan has not given any specific reason for his absence.

Congress government led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah carried out the cabinet expansion on Saturday at the Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru. In the swearing-in ceremony, 24 legislators took oath as a minister. The Karnataka government can have 34 ministers. Ten of them, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his deputy DK Shivakumar, were sworn in on May 20.

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on Friday set aside an order by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), which had directed the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE to review their no-objection certificate (NoC) given for the Zee-Sony merger.

The appellate tribunal gave the order on an appeal filed by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) against the verdict by the Mumbai Bench of the NCLT on May 11.

Karnataka Bank, on Friday, announced the appointment of Srikrishnan Harihara Sarma as the new managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of the bank.

In a major relief for ride-hailing firms Uber, Ola and Rapido, the Delhi High Court on Friday put a stay on government notice banning bike taxi services in Delhi.

A division bench of Justices Suresh Kumar Kait and Neena Bansal Krishna also directed the Transport Department to refrain from taking any coercive measures against Rapido and other ride-sharing platforms until a comprehensive policy is formulated.
