The International Olympic Committee (IOC) executive board has accepted a proposal to include T20I Cricket along with squash, lacrosse, flag football and baseball / softball in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

It will now go for a final vote in the 141st IOC session starting Sunday.

The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has canceled the allotment of several plots that were done between 2016 and 2018 in the Bagroda Industrial Area near Bhopal. The move came after industrialists failed to set up plants in the allotted plots even after five to seven years. According to the rules, they had to start operations within two years.

However, industrialists in the region say that the state should give some extra time to set up plants since the government takes years to develop industrial areas.

Oil major Indian Oil Corporation will invest Rs 1,660.15 crore for its 50 per cent stake in a joint venture with NTPC Green Energy Pvt Ltd announced earlier this year, it said in a regulatory filing on Friday. The two companies had in March announced a JV IndianOil NTPC Green Energy to develop renewable energy power plants.

"The board at its meeting held today on 13 October 2023 has accorded approval to the investment plan of the JVC for setting up Renewable Energy Power Plants and approved the equity contribution of up to Rs 1,660.15 crore towards IndianOil's share of 50 per cent in the equity share capital of the JVC," the filing read.

A proposed mosque coming up in Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh will be named after Prophet Muhammad, an umbrella body of mosques announced on Thursday. The umbrella body of mosques made the decision after a meeting of clerics in Mumbai.
