Wal-Mart India, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Wal-Mart Stores Inc of the US, on Tuesday launched its B2B e-commerce platform - www.bestpricewholesale.co.in -exclusively for members of Best Price Modern Wholesale (BPMW) stores in Hyderabad and Lucknow, providing them with an online shopping opportunity. As a virtual store, the e-commerce platform provides a similar assortment of products, as well as special items to its members.

Maruti Suzuki June sales up 33 pct at 1,12,773 units; mini segment cars jump 52 pct

Country's largest car-maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) today reported a 33.5 per cent increase in its total sales for June at 1,12,773 units as against 84,455 units in the same month last year.

Maruti Suzuki India said its domestic sales rose by 31.1 per cent during the month to 1,00,964 units as against 77,002 units in June 2013.

A reported bomb threat on a Delhi-bound Air India plane from Kochi, with 164 people on board, which landed under emergency conditions at the airport here, was a hoax, police said today.

The Airbus 320 (flight AI-047) was searched "thoroughly" after its emergency landing late last night and no bomb or explosive material was detected, Bangalore Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Kamal Pant said.
