Ahead of the two-day Anti-Terror Conference which is to be held on Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government is committed to building a terror-free India with its zero policy tolerance on terror.
Taking to social media X, Shah wrote in a post "The Modi govt is committed to building a terror-free India with its policy of zero tolerance. The two-day Anti-Terror Conference, beginning tomorrow, will further enhance coordination among agencies to strengthen Bharat's security bastion. Looking forward to addressing the conference tomorrow."

The Reserve Bank on Wednesday made changes to the Know Your Customer (KYC) norms to align them with recent amendments carried out in the Prevention of Money Laundering (Maintenance of Records) Rules and revised certain existing instructions.
According to the Amendment to the Master Direction - Know Your Customer (KYC) Direction, 2016, regulated entities (REs) will have to apply the customer due diligence (CDD) procedure at the unique customer identification code (UCIC) level.

US elections latest: Former US President Donald Trump is inching closer to securing a second term, as he leads over Democratic rival Kamala Harris in the race for the 270 electoral votes required to win the presidency.
The latest counting trends project that Trump is estimated to win about 247 electoral college votes, while Harris 213. Trump has already won two of the seven swing states – North Carolina and Georgia, which are crucial to determine the final outcome of the elections. He is leading the other five.

The opposition BJP in Karnataka on Wednesday staged a protest demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who appeared before the Lokayukta police here in response to the summons issued to him for questioning in the MUDA site allotment case.
Protesters led by BJP MLA T S Srivatsa slammed Siddaramaiah, and asked him to step down from the CM post and face the probe.

A cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at Mantralaya in the state capital Bhopal on Tuesday and the council of ministers approved 35 percent reservation for women in all the recruitments of the Madhya Pradesh government services.
After the cabinet meeting, Deputy CM of Madhya Pradesh, Rajendra Shukla told ANI, Reservation (for women) in all recruitment under Government services in Madhya Pradesh has been increased to 35 per cent from 33 per cent.

E-commerce platform Meesho has come under fire for allegedly selling t-shirts featuring the name and image of Lawrence Bishnoi, a Punjab-based criminal with alleged ties to gang violence. The incident came to light after a social media post highlighting the issue went viral on X (formerly Twitter), prompting criticism of the platform for “glorifying violence.”
The post was first shared by filmmaker Alishan Jafri, who pointed out a series of t-shirts being sold on Meesho’s platform, featuring Bishnoi’s images.
