Shares of HCL Technologies rallied 7 per cent to hit a record high of Rs 768.90 on the BSE on Monday after the company said it expects the revenue and the operating margin for the July-September quarter (Q2FY21) to be meaningfully better than the top end of the guidance it had provided in July’2020. The stock surpassed its previous high of Rs 738.80, touched on September 8, 2020.

Infrastructure company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said its construction arm has received multiple orders across business segments in the domestic market.

The company did not provide the value of the contracts, but said the orders fall under the significant' category, which ranges between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore according to the classification of contracts.

With 97,570 fresh COVID-19 cases reported in India-- the highest spike in new cases in the last 24 hours -- the national coronavirus cases tally has gone beyond the 46 lakh mark, the central government said on Saturday.
