Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) is a 370-bed acute care hospital that serves as a primary referral center for patients in southeastern Alabama and adjacent parts of Georgia and Florida. In addition to providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and emergency care, the hospital provides specialty services including heart, cancer, and women's health care. SAMC also operates primary care physician offices and clinics specializing in diagnostics, pediatrics, and cancer care, as well as a home health agency. Affiliates include Enterprise Medical Clinic, Houston Medical Group, and Chipley Medical Group. The hospital was founded in 1957.
