North Mississippi Health Services (NMHS) isn't contained by its name:North Mississippi health system reaches beyond the upper portion of Mississippi to provide health care to residents of northwestern Alabama and parts of Tennessee, as well.North Mississippi health system includes half a dozen community hospitals, including its flagship location, the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Combined, the facilities have about 900 beds. Specialty services include home health and long-term care, inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, and treatment centers for cancer and digestive disorders. As a tertiary care facility, most of the hospital's patients are referred to North Shore by their primary or secondary physicians. It also serves as a campus for the New York University School of Medicine. The Long Island hospital is home to the Don Monti Cancer Center and the Sandra Atlas Bass Cardiology Center. North Shore is part of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System.

North Sonoma County Hospital District helps more than just those who have tripped while stomping grapes. The district operates Healdsburg District Hospital, an acute care community hospital in northern California. North Sonoma County hospital offers a full array of health services, including emergency and trauma, surgery and rehabilitation, occupational medicine, and clinical laboratory. It also provides hospice care, a clinical laboratory, and an imaging center. Since taking the hospital over from Columbia Healthcare (now HCA) in 2002, the district has doubled the size of the ER and upgraded equipment.

Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) is an integrated health care system serving residents of northern and central Arizona. It features two acute care hospitals: Flagstaff Medical Center, with 270 beds, and Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood, with about 100 beds. NAH also operates several outpatient clinics in the area that provide emergency and primary care services, as well as physical therapy, cancer treatments, and other services. It operates home health, hospice, and pharmacy divisions, and it is a partner in The Peaks, a Flagstaff senior living facility. Additionally, NAH provides management services to Winslow Memorial Hospital, a 25-bed critical-access hospital in rural north-central Arizona.

Northern Inyo Hospital provides general medical services for the region north of Los Angeles, California. Its staff of physicians specialize in areas such as emergency medicine, obstetrics, urology, ophthalmology, and pediatrics. The company's Rural Health Clinic offers immunizations, wound care, women's and children's health exams, and sports physicals.

NorthShore University HealthSystem provides care to residents of Chicago's north side and its suburbs.NorthShore University HealthSystem operates hospitals, a home care organization, and a Medical Group with some 650 primary and specialty care physicians. Northside Hospital can treat the acute care facility, which houses the Tampa Bay Heart Institute, has some 290 beds and provides a gamut of medical services to the residents of Pinellas County, Florida. The Heart Institute offers surgical, diagnostic, and rehabilitation services for cardiac patients. In addition to its cardiovascular expertise, Northside Hospital offers specialized treatment for patients with spine disorders and chronic pain conditions, as well as diagnostic imaging, orthopedics, rehabilitation, urology, outpatient surgery. Northside Hospital is part of the HCA family.
