Saskatchewan Telecommunications, known as SaskTel, provides
telecom services to about 425,000 residential and business
customers in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Services
include landline and wireless phone, broadband Internet, and
data services such as Web hosting. Its business services
include voice, Internet, and data connections, as well as
managed network services and wholesale access for other
carriers. The company also provides digital TV service under
the Max Entertainment brand. Its SecurTek unit, offers
security monitoring services, while Hospitality Network
handles in-room communications for the health-care industry.
Founded in 1908, SaskTel is owned by the provincial
government of Saskatchewan.
