Nippon Steel Trading also imports steelmaking raw materials -- iron ore from Australia and India and coal from Australia, China, New Zealand, Russia, Vietnam, and the US. Other materials Nippon Steel Trading company trades include heavy machinery, fuels, and non-ferrous metals. Steel products account for nearly 75% of Nippon Steel Trading's sales. Nippon Steel owns 37% of the company; Mitsui holds 20%.
