HES Beheer, formed in 1908, is a holding company for providers of logistical services in ports. These services focus mainly on storage, transhipment and processing of a varied package of dry bulk products for industrial end-users. Examples include raw materials for the energy market, the steel and aluminium industry and the food industry. On a modest scale, the company also takes part in liquid bulk activities (vegetable oils) and agencies. The main concentration of HES Beheer's activities is in the Netherlands. There is also a group company in the UK. H.E.S. Beheer handles more than 15 million tons of raw materials every year. More than half of the company's revenues are traced to the coal industry.
