Warren Equities fills car tanks and stomachs in the US Northeast. The holding company sells fuel and groceries from more than 300 Xtra Mart brand service stations and convenience stores from Maine to Virginia. Warren's distribution companies supply those stores, as well as independent outlets, with gasoline, grocery, and tobacco products. Other Warren companies trade and store petroleum, provide environmental testing services, and make promotional signs and clothing. Founder Warren Alpert's foundation gives annual grants to medical researchers. Alpert died in 2007.
