Chromalox, Inc.

Chromalox company makes switches and electrical components for heaters, grills, hot plates, defrosters, water heaters, and other products. It also makes thermostats, sensors, commercial and industrial cables and controls, and vaporizer systems. Its equipment has been used aboard the Space Shuttle, and on earth in the biopharmaceutical, food services, petrochemical, power generation, and wastewater treatment industries. A part of Emerson Electric for 33 years, Chromalox was sold in 2001 to an investor group led by JPMorgan Partners (now CCMP Capital Advisors) for $165 million.
