Richard-Ginori 1735 S.p.A
The company makes fine porcelain and bone china tableware, including dinner plates, cups, and serving trays, plus small collectibles. A leading maker of ceramics in Italy, it offers new designs each year, but it also uses some that are more than 200 years old. Exports account for about a quarter of sales, but Richard-Ginori 1735 plans to grow by forming alliances with other European manufacturers of luxury goods. Formerly owned by tableware maker Pagnossin, the struggling company was bought and saved by the Italian investment company Starfin in 2007.
