Autoroutes du Sud de la France operates the ASF motorway, one of Europe's leading toll roads. The group also operates the Escota (Estrel, Cte d'Azur, Provence, Alpes) concession, which with ASF makes up the largest network of toll roads in France (mostly in the southern half). Overall the ASF network consists of about 3,100 km (1,930 miles) of highways. The company was created in 1957 as the Autoroute de la Valle du Rhone.
