American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) helps the people helping people who have problems hearing or speaking. The organization is the professional, scientific, and credentialing association for audiologists, speech pathologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists. It publishes professional journals, including the American Journal of Audiology and The ASHA Leader, and provides information on research, grants, practice management, and scientific data to its base of more than 130,000 members. For the public, ASHA provides information on insurance coverage, hearing disorders, speech and language problems, and finding professional help.
